How to Publish on Casetech

Everything you need to create great courses for your students

1Embedding YouTube Videos

You can embed any YouTube video as a lesson. Simply paste the YouTube video URL or Video ID when creating your lesson. The video will be embedded directly in the course player.

2Adding Timestamps (Highly Recommended)

Timestamps turn your single video into structured lesson modules. Students can jump to any section, track their progress, and mark modules as complete — just like a real course. This significantly improves completion rates.

Step-by-step: Adding timestamps to your YouTube video

    Upload your video to YouTube
    Make sure the video is set to Public or Unlisted (not Private).
  2. 2
    Edit the video description
    Go to YouTube Studio → your video → Edit → Description.
  3. 3
    Add timestamps in the description
    Type each timestamp on its own line in the format: 0:00 Section name. See the example below.
  4. 4
    Save the description
    YouTube will automatically detect the timestamps and create chapter markers in the video.
  5. 5
    Paste timestamps into Casetech
    When creating your lesson on Casetech, paste the exact same timestamp text into the "Timestamps" field. Our system will automatically parse them into lesson modules.

Copy this format exactly. Each line = one module. Supports hours too (1:02:30).

⚠️ Important rules:
  • • The first timestamp must start at 0:00
  • • One timestamp per line, no blank lines between them
  • • Format: M:SS Label or H:MM:SS Label
  • • Keep labels short and descriptive (max ~50 characters)
